Peggy Hassler

Peggy Hassler is a proud Mehlville High School graduate (Class of 1983) and a lifelong advocate for excellent public education within the Mehlville School District. A parent of three Mehlville graduates, she brings personal experience and a clear focus on supporting student success across the district.

Community Leadership
Peggy has been actively involved in Mehlville schools for more than two and a half decades, serving in roles across PTOs and booster groups, scholarship committees, hiring panels, facility planning, and district-wide improvement initiatives.

As co-founder of Mehlville-Oakville United Committee, she helped lead our community through multiple successful ballot measures that strengthened district finances, facilities, staffing, and student opportunities.

Elected to the Mehlville Board of Education in 2017, Peggy has served in multiple leadership roles — including the past four years as Board President — and works closely on finance, facilities, policy, communications, and legislative advocacy to champion responsible stewardship and a student-centered future for all.

Career & Education
Peggy serves as Operations Manager and Paralegal at Keefe & Griffiths, P.C. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Paralegal Studies from Lindenwood University, and her professional experience in administration, financial oversight, governance, and organizational leadership directly strengthens her work in the district and with the Foundation.

Peggy also brings deep nonprofit leadership experience through Kids’ Chance — having served as Executive Director of Kids’ Chance of America and as an Executive Board Member and President of Kids’ Chance of Missouri — advocating for educational support for children of injured workers.

Foundation Service
Peggy is a founding and current Executive Board Member of the Mehlville-Oakville Education Foundation, where she helps build the organization’s mission, structure, partnerships, and long-term vision to support students, staff, and alumni across the district.

Personal
Peggy and her husband, Bill, have been married for 34 years, have three children and one daughter-in-law.  She enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

Her guiding belief remains constant:
Every child deserves the chance to discover their potential, feel supported, and pursue a bright future.
