Scott Huegerich
Scott Huegerich is a lifelong Mehlville community member and media professional who attended Mehlville schools from kindergarten through high school, graduating in 1986. He is the Managing Partner of both Aligned Media and Aligned Properties, bringing more than three decades of experience in film, commercial storytelling, and business leadership.
Career
Scott is a 20-time Mid-America Emmy Award winner and recipient of the Missouri Humanities Council Governor’s Award. In his commercial career, Scott leads strategic storytelling for major organizations across healthcare, technology, manufacturing, finance, and agriculture.
His documentary work includes The World’s Greatest Fair — an award-winning film that brings the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair to life — and The Gateway Arch: A Reflection of America, a documentary celebrating one of the nation’s most recognized monuments. He has also directed commissioned documentaries for clients such as SeaWorld and produced impactful work on issues such as domestic violence prevention.
Community Involvement
Elected to the Mehlville Board of Education in 2022 and serving through April 2025, Scott is committed to student opportunity, responsible stewardship, and fostering strong community engagement.
He helped lead the formation of the Mehlville-Oakville Education Foundation to expand scholarships, experiential learning, and essential support for district students. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Scott helped organize and lead the Fill Up the Pickup community food drives that provided more than 125,000 meals to families throughout the St. Louis region.
Scott also serves on the Professional Advisory Council for the Department of Mass Media at Southeast Missouri State University, mentoring students preparing for careers in media and production.
Education
Scott earned his B.S. in Mass Communication from Southeast Missouri State University.
Personal
Scott and his wife, Kelly, live in Oakville and have three sons, all of whom are graduates of Oakville High School. He remains passionate about public education, and strengthening the community that shaped his life.
